Seeing his mom constantly in pain inspired him to pursue a career in medicine. Auzine was smart and was sent to a Catholic Grammar school and then onto a Jesuit high school in New Orleans for three years. For his junior and senior years in high school, he went to Louisiana School for Math and Science and the Arts on the campus of Northwestern State University.
